Most of us generally get a dearth of basic financial management education throughout our formal education. Valuable time is instead spent teaching us how to solve physics problem sets regarding the trajectory of launched canon balls. I'm sure some us are thankful for this, but for those who did not enter the artillery industry, this exercise is simply that, an exercise. Don't get me wrong. Exercise for the sake of maintaining general health and muscle tone, in this case of the brain, is not a bad thing. I run on the treadmill, going no where in particular, all the time, but if you can exercise while at the same time serving a useful purpose why not? But I diverge, this is a rant for a different time and place.
Here are some notes form the class you missed: click here to download a free copy of Suze Orman's latest book on basic financial managment, "2009 Action Plan." Act quick as the offer will expire on Thursday January 15th at 11:59 CT.
PS. I haven't read the book yet but in skimming through it, there seems to be some useful information. If you don't like it, please don't throw tomatoes my way. By no means is this post a ringing endorsement.
