What is Loeffler's syndrome?

It is one etiology of pulmonary infiltrates associated with blood eosinophilia caused by the passage of larvae through the lung. Diagnose by isolating helminthic larvae in stool by sending samples for ova and parasite analysis. Serologic tests for antiparasite antibodies may also be considered. Treat with an antihelmintic.
