Of patients who present with a sore throat, which should be tested for mononucleosis?

Mono testing recommended for patients with sore throat and:

• splenomegaly 
• pharyngitis symptoms persisting for 5 - 7 days 
• or returning for persistent symptoms despite treatment for strep
