- Probe for supporting evidence to assess the learner's knowledge base.
- Do focused teaching.
- Tell the learner what s/he did well. Be specific.
- Give constructive criticism about mistakes. Ask the learner what s/he thinks how the shift went. Be specific about your comments.
- Make a learning plan.
